Mark Wray, founder and chief executive officer of LTBLtech LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who for his contributions to light and energy technology. Mr. Wray, a decorated veteran of the United States Air Force, has spent more than 10 years redefining safety protocols in insdustrial settings by developing advanced laser and image projection systems.
More than 400 Fortune 500 companies now use Mr. Wray’s innovations, the DockRight Laser and LightCop, to enhance precision and reduce workplace accidents. His latest development, the Traffic Commander System, integrates programmable logic control with the LC-4 Virtual Walkway. This virtual system enables warehouses and distribution centers to reduce human error and strengthen compliance with safety standards.
“The goal was never to make more money,” Mr. Wray said. “It was always, ‘How do I make it better and safer for the people doing the hard work?’ That’s what drives me.”
A Journey From Medicine to Music to Modern Safety Systems
During the Vietnam Warera, Mr. Wray began ahis career in medicine, serving as an aeromedical evacuation specialist in the United States Air Force. He was among the first participants in what later became the physician assistant movement, providing trauma care while pursuing pre-med studies. Disillusioned by the growing industrialization of health care, heMr. Wray left medicine to pursue a new calling in music.
“I went from emergency rooms to empty stages,” Mr. Wray recalled. “I picked up a guitar, and next thing I knew, I was on the road to Los Angeles with a band that had just lost their guitarist.”
That shift led to a creative career in entertainment. Mr. Wray’s Nashville-based production, “Mystery School: The Live Show,” showcases his ability to perform using more than 100 musical instruments. The laser and projection systems central to LTBLtech’s global industrial footprint were later inspired by his experience with high-gain lighting and stage production.
“Never give up; never surrender—that’s my motto,” Mr. Wray said, quoting the film “Galaxy Quest.” “That mindset and a deep faith in what you’re doing changes how you move through the world.”
Inventing With Purpose
A near-death experience transformed Mr. Wray’s view of his work. After surviving a catastrophic accident, Mr. Wray described returning with what he called “advanced knowledge,” which he has since applied across his technical, spiritual and creative pursuits. He became an ordained minister in 2014 and continues to explore the relationship between metaphysical studies and real-world applications.
As chief executive officer of LTBLtech LLC, Mr. Wray remains focused on developing cost-effective, safety-driven technologies that address the evolving needs of warehouses, manufacturers and distribution centers. His work helps clients reduce liability, support compliance and improve operational efficiency.
“My mission is simple,” Mr. Wray said. “To listen, respond and create what others haven’t yet thought possible.”
