Post Falls entrepreneur demonstrates how business can drive positive change with more than 30 years of experience.
POST FALLS, ID, July 9, 2025 — Denny LaVé has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who for his exceptional contributions to the construction industry and his commitment to using business as a force for positive change. The co-founder and managing member of Precision Precast Erectors LLC built his company from startup during a recession to $17 million in annual sales while maintaining a focus on employee welfare and community impact.
Mr. LaVé established Precision Precast Erectors in 2008 as a specialty contractor that installs precast concrete pieces for mid-sized to large buildings. The company constructed stadiums, parking garages, hospitals, schools, prisons, and data centers across multiple states. Under his leadership, the firm earned five Inc. 5000 Awards for Growth and received recognition from the Idaho Department of Commerce.
Mr. LaVé’s approach to business centers on the distinction between serving clients versus customers. “Customers view purchases as commodities. In the commodity world, it’s a race to the bottom with very little differentiation. In contrast, clients are under the care and protection of someone else. When you adopt that mindset and start taking responsibility for caring for and protecting the people who hire you and work for you, it makes a huge difference,” Mr. LaVé explained.
The company’s core driving value focuses on improving the lives of its employees and their families. Mr. LaVé actively trains the next generation of leaders within his organization, working directly with his operations leader to develop leadership and technical skills necessary for running a multi-million-dollar company. He also collaborates with his sales and marketing leader to enhance their understanding of business operations.
Mr. LaVé’s professional journey began as a union ironworker in 1995, providing him with hands-on experience that would later prove invaluable in his entrepreneurial ventures. Before founding Precision Precast Erectors, he owned Northwest Venture Marketing and operated a furniture shop specializing in custom high-end furniture. His diverse background includes two years living in a monastery in France, an experience that contributed to his philosophical approach to business.
The construction industry continues to see significant developments, particularly in the data center sector, where Mr. LaVé’s company performs substantial work. “A lot of the materials in the construction industry come from all over. We do a lot of work in the data center sector. In power generation, there are some exciting developments emerging, such as the Micro Nuclear Reactor (MNR). Those are pretty neat and are being developed at a couple of national laboratories. They will be real game changers when they go online, not just for the data center world, but also for infrastructure at large,” Mr. LaVé noted.
Mr. LaVé holds certifications as an Ironworker Apprenticeship Program graduate and as a Certified Responsible Management Individual across nine states: Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Colorado. He also serves as a certified coach with USA Lacrosse.
His commitment to community service extends beyond his business operations. Mr. LaVé actively participates as a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Post Falls, Idaho, and volunteers to establish church and school lacrosse programs. He supports Catholic Charities, monasteries, convents, seminaries, and various orphanages in India. His charitable contributions also include donations to the American Heart Association Inc., Wounded Warrior Project and Paralyzed Veterans of America.
Mr. LaVé attributes his success to humility, which he believes allows individuals to recognize their strengths and weaknesses and seek assistance when needed. His team refers to him as their fearless leader, acknowledging his willingness to tackle dangerous situations including climbing towering heights and stabilizing buildings damaged by storms or design flaws.
“What I try to train my people in is that we can be a powerful force for good, for positive change, if we want to. By doing this, we can assist others in making positive changes,” Mr. LaVé emphasized, reflecting his belief that business can serve as a catalyst for broader societal improvement. Mr. LaVé will release “Blue Collar Blessed, A Humble Life in Idaho,” which documents his personal journey from poverty to successful entrepreneur, this November.
